💞PinkTober: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

#BreastCancerAwarenessMonth2021💞

Every October, people all over the world show their support for someone affected by #breastcancer.

July 2021 I was diagnosed with breastcancer. It felt like a #shock, that shook our lives upside down. In the process of healing I am immensely #grateful to receive so much #love and #support🙏.
It helps me to #recover emotionally, and hold on during the necessary treatments to save my life. I am so grateful to say my prognosis is good!

In 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 685 000 deaths globally. As of the end of 2020, there were 7.8 million women alive who were diagnosed with breast cancer in the past 5 years, making it the world’s most prevalent cancer (https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/breast-cancer).

Survival rates have gone up since 1980 thanks to #research. Tragically, still 1 out of 7/8 women die of breast cancer. We know that early #screening saves lives! So it is vital to raise #awareness everywhere you can🙏.
